Yeah, there is some a hassle factor in the initial setup but once done, it’s done and you forget about it. Lens is better than the webcams but these babies run really hot even without a battery (usb powered with HDMI) and don’t natively do USB video output easily either. I’d suggest not again (been there, tried that too). Personally I could not be bothered with the hassle of setting up a DSLR to do this job. You can buy better ones such as Hero7 by Gopro.
